We invite you to submit all e-posters and PowerPoint presentation slides via email ahead of the congress.

File Naming Convention: Please ensure your file is labelled correctly before uploading:

Note: Oral presenters are still required to visit the Speaker Preparation room to check/confirm their pre-submitted presentation prior to their session.

It is recommended that all oral presenters use the official presentation template (see ‘Checklist’ above) when preparing their presentation. This template is already in the 16:9 ratio for you.
Slides Format: Microsoft PowerPoint format, with the Slide Size of 16:9 ratio. Keynote or Canva presentation is not accepted.
Note: If you have any disclosures related to your presentation – please ensure that you include a disclosure slide at the start of your presentation.

To ensure your presentation runs perfectly, follow these steps:

Create a dedicated folder for your presentation.
-
Place or copy all related files into this folder—this includes images, videos, sound files, or any media you have used.

Recreate any links so they point to the files in this folder (Insert > Movies and Sounds > From File). Do remember to resave your presentation!

This is also to ensure that you have quick access to the original files, like video clips, in case you encounter any issues with your PowerPoint presentation slides.

Oral Presentation Submission
Oral presentation slides can be submitted via one of the following method:
a) Via email to secretariat@atcsa2024.org
Deadline: 11:59pm GMT +8 (Malaysian Time), on 8th November 2024; OR
b) Drop your oral presentation slides in person to the Speaker Preparation room at Sabah Ante Room
Deadline: No less than 3 hours before your session begins
Onsite confirmation
All oral presenters, regardless of pre-submission, are required to check in at the Speaker Preparation Room at least 3 hours before the start of your session.
This ensures that your presentation is properly loaded and working.
Please note that the use of personal laptops or USB flash drives is not permissible during your presentation session.
Your presentation will be given live, in-person at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur. Questions from the audience will be moderated by the session chairperson.
You are required to be available for the duration of your session and to participate in the live discussion as per the allocated time.

Thursday, 21st November 2024: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Friday, 21st November 2024: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday, 23rd November 2024: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Sunday, 24th November 2024: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Follow this checklist to ensure you are fully prepared for your presentation!

Make sure your presentation is successfully submitted and checked in the Speaker Preparation room.

Arrive in your assigned session hall at least 30 minutes before your session begins.

As soon as you arrive, head to the console at the back of the hall and let the Person-In-Charge know that you are one of the Oral Presenters. They will provide you with the necessary technical briefing before your presentation.

Please ensure you stick to this timeline to allow plenty of time for the technical briefing and to help everything run smoothly during the session!

The Young Investigator Awards (YIA) recognise and encourage the work of young investigators and their parent institutions.
To qualify for the Young Investigator Award presentation, presenters must meet the following criteria:

Age Limit: Presenters must be 40 years of age or younger at the time of submission.
-
Authorship: The presenter must be either the main author or one of the co-authors listed on the submitted work.
-
Contribution: The presenter must have made an independent and substantial contribution to the research or work being presented.

Oral Presentations
This information is for all oral presentations. These guidelines provide essential instructions for preparing your presentation. Please take a moment to read and familiarise yourself with these guidelines as you get ready.
Note: All abstract selected for Oral Presentations will be published in the The Asian Cardiovascular and Thoracic Annals
We encourage all poster presenters to use the official presentation template (see the 'Checklist' above) when preparing their posters.
This template is conveniently set to the 9:16 ratio size for you. The 9:16 ratio dimensions are 45.72 cm x 81.28 cm and should be in portrait orientation.
Please ensure that your e-poster is converted to PDF before submission.

Remember, your e-poster display should serve as a visual representation of your work!

All e-posters should be prepared in English.
-
Include the assigned Abstract ID at the top right corner of the e-poster (below the association logos).
-
Keep your e-poster to a single page.
-
Use a minimum font size of 14pt or larger with clear, standard fonts (e.g., Arial, Calibri).
-
Images and tables to be at least 200 dpi. Good picture quality is essential.
-
Ensure that the title, references, and any conflicts of interest are included.
-
The maximum file size for your e-poster is 5MB.
-
You can enhance your e-poster with multimedia elements. If you choose to include a video, it should be in MP4 format, no longer than 5 minutes, and must not exceed 20MB.
Our e-poster displays will be featured on non-touch screens, and we will provide a mouse and keyboard for ease of navigation. Attendees will be able to search and explore the e-poster list effortlessly.
All e-poster must be submitted via email latest by 11:59 PM GMT +8 (Malaysian Time) on 1st November 2024.
Note: Submissions received after the above stated deadline could potentially result in your display poster or presentation being excluded from the congress.
Important Note:
E-posters selected under the Display Poster Only category will not have a dedicated session/ presentation time, but will be available for viewing at the digital poster boards throughout the congress.
By uploading your e-poster, you agree to having it published in the official congress publications and on the congress website, and may also be published on the ATCSA or MATCVS virtual platforms, website and/ or social media platforms for the duration of 3 months following the ATCSA 2024 Meeting.
E-Poster Preparation
This information is for all e-poster preparation. These guidelines include instructions on how to prepare your poster display.
